I contracted Thomana Construction in 2015 for the refurbishment of the family home which
was built in 1911 with a modern and complimentary 40m2 rear extension and separate utility and office
space. This project was very close to my heart as it was to be my home and I would be the 5 th generation to live here and could not wait to put a new lease of life into the house.
The project included new floors, drylining, new plumbing and electrical installation, reroofing the
existing roof, construction of a new porch, to the original house and a new build to the rear of the
existing property and a new annex to the side.
From the beginning Padraic was always available to discuss all aspects of the project and was quick to
identify any potential issues which may arise due to his experience of all aspects of construction. He also worked closely with sub-contractors, my architect and a structural engineer to ensure the structural stability of the original house.
Taking on a refurbishment of this scale, while managing a busy lifestyle would not have been achievable without Padraic and his team working tirelessly on site.
Arriving on site every morning at 8am and working through till late Padraic always remained in complete control. He was also very obliging to meet me to discuss the progress outside of working hours.
Through the 14-week project I felt confident in the work that Padraic was providing. His professionalism and his dedication re-assured me that I had chosen the right building contractor to complete my home by selecting Thomana Construction .
I would have no hesitation to recommending Padraic to anyone wishing to build or extended/refurbish
their existing home.
